Economist: Zaluzhny refused the offer to take the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Valeriy Zaluzhny, rejected the offer to take up the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), the Economist reports.
According to sources, on January 29, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting with Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny and announced his intention to dismiss him.
“Zaluzhny was offered another role: secretary of the National Security Council. However, he refused,” the material notes.
Earlier, the Financial Times wrote that Vladimir Zelensky met with Zaluzhny and offered him the position of adviser to the Ukrainian authorities after his departure from the army.
