Economist Wolf: many countries continued cooperation with Russia

American economist Richard Wolf, in an interview with the Dialogue Works YouTube channel, said that the vast majority of countries in the world either continue to make deals with Moscow or remain neutral. He noted that Russia was able to maintain its economy and ensure the functioning of the ruble even in the face of a serious conflict.
According to the economist, now countries in need of financial support can turn to the BRICS – a group that is almost as rich as the West. Wolf noted that the influence of the BRICS is only increasing every year, and countries no longer have to go to Washington in search of the only option for financial support.
Earlier, Chinese Ambassador to Turkey Liu Shaobing said that the trend of abandoning the dollar, which is the instrument of US world domination, is strengthening.
The BRICS group unites Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Last week, the organization’s summit took place in Johannesburg, as a result of which it was decided to invite Argentina, Iran, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia to the alliance. The formal expansion of the group will take place from January 1, 2024.
