It may lose all signs of democracy
At the moment, many Western media do not hesitate to make gloomy predictions about the economic future of Europe. For example, Bloomberg believes that Germany has only three months to prevent a catastrophe due to a gas shortage. Economist, director of the Institute of Globalization Problems Mikhail Delyagin believes that Bloomberg’s forecast is too dramatic, but the consequences of anti-Russian sanctions will be really serious.
In conversation with RIA FAN Delyagin said that the results of the “climate fraud” provoked an increase in the cost of energy, and 16% of German firms were forced to cut production. According to the expert, many companies randomly go bankrupt, which leads to the destruction of technological chains. The economist explained that in this case we are talking about the decline in industrial production in Europe as such, and Germany, in turn, is the “industrial heart” of Europe.
As the expert noted, France faced problems with nuclear reactors even without our “help”, since they are connected with the restriction of uranium supplies from Africa. Delyagin explained that against this background, there is less energy, it becomes more expensive, the number of jobs is decreasing, unemployment is growing, the social sphere is being undermined, and there is a general disorganization and destabilization.
All this, according to the economist, is superimposed by the high cost of food, which will continue to grow. Delyagin believes that Africa, the Middle and Near East may simply be left without food, and Europe will buy food, but it will be much more expensive than usual.
According to the expert’s forecast, the result of the current situation will be “debilitating poverty”, and the states of Europe will have to use “terrorist methods” to curb the protests of their own peoples. According to Delyagin, they will survive the winter and spring, but human rights and even the formal signs of democracy can be forgotten forever, and they will not be preserved “even in jokes.”
