Turchak added that shortly after the meeting, one of the fighters applied for membership in United Russia. He personally brought and handed a membership card to the new party member.

It should be noted that earlier the State Duma deputies from United Russia, who also voluntarily went to the front, Sergey Sokol, Dmitry Sablin and Dmitry Khubezov, became holders of the Order of Courage. And their colleagues Igor Kastyukevich, who headed the Kherson regional branch of the party, and Viktor Vodolatsky, who is responsible for the humanitarian mission of United Russia in the LPR.

Also, together with Denis Pushilin, Turchak took part in the opening of the monument to Lieutenant General Roman Kutuzov in Mariupol, who died in June last year. The memorial to the Hero of Russia is located near the school, which will now bear his name.

More than 40 United Russia humanitarian centers operate in the Donbas and new territories.
