EAEU summit to be held in Bishkek on December 9

In 2022, the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) will be tentatively held on December 9 in Bishkek, informs TASS with reference to the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
“The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is scheduled for December 9 this year in Bishkek,” the press service said. The meeting will be held in Bishkek, as this year Kyrgyzstan chairs the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The EAEU includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Last year, the EAEU summit was also held via video link. The meeting will be chaired by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. In addition to the leaders of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel will take part in it as observers. The organization has another observer – Moldova.
In May, the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported that the agenda included a discussion of 14 issues. In particular, the main guidelines for the macroeconomic policy of the EAEU member states for 2022-2023, the results of work to remove obstacles in the EAEU domestic market for 2021, and the implementation of the main directions of the EAEU’s international activities.
