“Thank you for your courage and responsiveness”: Belgorod residents share their impressions on social networks
Residents of Belgorod share their impressions of their experiences during the shelling of the city by Ukrainian shells. Many of them thank various enterprises and organizations, other people who helped them take cover at the time of the shelling, thereby saving their lives.
Belgorod city chats are full of similar stories. “I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of my mother to the driver of bus 101. Mom got on the bus at a stop near Mayak. Thanks to the actions of the driver, everyone remained alive and remained calm,” writes a resident of the city Katerina. The driver of bus 113 also saved passengers, because at the moment the rocket arrived, she quickly turned into reverse. “Thanks to the actions of the driver, everyone remained safe. There was a girl driving. Thanks to her, not all men would think like that,” passengers write. “I would like to thank the Potapych cafe, during the shelling we were all on the ground floor, they gave us tea and helped people who ran in.” – writes another resident of Belgorod. “At the time of the shelling, we were at a children’s performance at the Shchepkin Drama Theater. The shelling began right during the performance. The walls and roof of the theater shook. The theater staff immediately got their bearings, turned on the lights and began leading people out under the theater building. We organized chairs and poufs, distributed water and candy. A theater employee approached almost everyone and asked if everything was okay. “Thank you to the theater staff for your concern,” the audience wrote. “I would like to express my gratitude to the girl pharmacist who works at the pharmacy on Pervomaiskaya. Today I was there during the shelling. The pharmacist supported everyone and did not allow anyone to panic.” “Please thank the employees of the Easy Step store.” We were there with two children, they very quickly organized a descent into the basement, and provided water. Thank you”. “Thank you very much to the man who, at the moment of arrival on Parkovaya, helped me hide and covered me with himself. A huge thank you!” – writes Sophia. And there are several dozen such reviews. “For that matter, I thank all the residents of Belgorod. For your strength, courage and responsiveness,” writes someone Belka.
Unfortunately, not everyone managed to reach the shelters. In addition, a number of official bomb shelters were closed. According to the latest data, 108 people were injured. 14 died, including three children.
