Dudayev explained the behavior of the Vostok-Akhmat battalion commander at the post in Melitopol as a provocation

Chechen Minister for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudayev commented on the video of the conflict between the Chechen military and a guard in Melitopol. He admitted that the commander of the Vostok-Akhmat battalion, Vakha Khambulatov, took part in it. The battalion commander driving the Mercedes refused to obey the military’s demands, got out of the car and pointed a pistol at the guard.

Mr. Dudayev explained that the incident occurred in 2023 and was already settled, because “true defenders of our Motherland will always find a common language.” In his opinion, “the Center for Information and Psychological Operations (of the Ukrainian Army) will not calm down. “Ъ”) and our other ill-wishers.”

As Mr. Dudayev said, Mr. Khambulatov was heading with the soldiers to the supply base in Melitopol from the front line. “In the video itself we see that the guard, for some reason secretly recording his actions, after checking the documents, which, by the way, the battalion commander had in perfect order, demands that the entire convoy of SVO participants drive to the side of the road and stop. For what? After this, the battalion soldiers get out of the vehicle, which is standard practice, and at this very moment the guard is the first to remove the safety and pull the bolt of the machine gun. Only after this does Vakha Visamovich load his pistol and shout out, “Shoot if you’re a man,” Mr. Dudayev wrote in Telegram.

The minister believes that “the main news story in this whole story is that there are Chechens in the video.” In his opinion, if these were representatives of another nationality, no one would have paid attention to it.
