“The Panama-flagged Navistar ship, which will sail from Ukraine to Ireland and left the port of Odessa with 33,000 tons of corn, reached the designated place in the north of Istanbul and dropped anchor. The ship will be inspected by the Joint Coordination Center in the coming hours, ”the ministry said in a statement.
On the eve of the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported on the dispatch of the first vessel with Ukrainian grain from the port of Odessa. A cargo ship flying the flag of Sierra Leone will have to deliver grain to Lebanon.
On July 22, representatives of Turkey and the UN signed separate agreements with representatives of Russia and Ukraine on the export of Ukrainian grain, as well as on assistance in the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. On July 27, the Joint Coordination Center for the export of grain began its work in Istanbul.
Grains have been blocked in the seaports of Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s special operation in the country. Kyiv and the UN accused Russia of blocking the courts. The Russian Ministry of Defense insisted that the ships could not leave the ports because of Ukrainian mines in the sea.
