Most agreed that the 30,000 that the survey says is very small.

Russians spend from 6,000 to 30,000 rubles a month on food. Such data are contained in the report of the NAFI analytical center published today. Is it a lot or a little – MK asked famous Russians, and at the same time clarified how much their monthly food basket fits into.

– Few. You can live on 20 thousand rubles, but this will already be below average in terms of proper nutrition and its quality.

A middle-aged Muscovite of my build spends 50-60 thousand rubles a month on a healthy diet – without restaurants and cafes and other expenses, just a properly balanced diet of proteins, fats and carbohydrates costs so much.

Dana Borisova, TV presenter:

– Of course, not enough. A person needs at least 45,000 rubles a month for groceries. In our family, I am responsible for food, I go to grocery stores for myself and my daughter. I don’t allow myself expensive shops, I don’t count restaurants either, one trip there is 5 thousand. I know for sure that about 3,000 rubles a day are spent on food, and that’s 90,000 a month. This is without special delicacies, but I can buy a jar of red caviar twice a month.

Alexey Kortnev, singer:

– 30,000 rubles a month is a thousand a day. If you cook and eat well at home – three or at least twice a day – you can keep within a smaller amount. But if you spend the whole day on the road, in the city or on tour, and you don’t want to kill your stomach with shawarma, you will have to spend more than 1,000 a day. And then even 30,000 rubles a month was not much. It directly depends on the lifestyle and the way of earning.

As a rule, I buy food for my whole family, which is seven people living under one roof. And let’s not forget the three dogs! At least 120,000 rubles a month.

Dmitry Potapenko, entrepreneur:

“I think these numbers are huge. To date, income growth has not kept pace with food spending. The main marker is that 55% of Russians have gone from their own income, i.е. the total expenditure on food went to the household. And therein lies the root of the problem. With a salary of 80,000, you can spend 30,000 on food – this is not fatal. And if you spend more than 55% of your earnings only on maintaining food, then you come to a state of poverty and hunger.

I spend more than 75,000 rubles a month on groceries. I have at least three adults and two minor children.

Elena Drapeko, State Duma deputy:

– 30,000 for food is a very large amount, people manage much less.

From 6,000 to 30,000, depending on the regions. In the southern regions, life is cheaper, in the northern regions it is much more expensive.

I live quite modestly, I fit in 10-15 thousand per month.

Our party has prepared a draft law that calls for raising the subsistence minimum in Russia to 31,000 rubles. Although in reality, as we know, today the cost of paying for an apartment, buying food, some clothes, buying medicines is somewhere around 48,000. Therefore, today’s living wage does not cover any living expenses for people. It is impossible to live on it.
