Former Moldovan President Igor Dodon has been extended house arrest for 20 days, until October 11. The corresponding decision was announced in court.

Earlier, the prosecutor’s office petitioned for an extension of the measure of restraint for 30 days. Dodon said that this is unreasonable.

“The court instance approved the request of the prosecutor’s office. The house arrest for ex-president of Moldova Igor Dodon is extended by 20 days until October 11,” Judge Roman Mazurets said at the meeting.

Recall that the ex-president was sent under house arrest at the end of May. He is accused of illegal enrichment, treason, passive corruption and financing of a political party by a criminal gang. Dodon denies guilt.
