The day before, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov reportedthat this year the press conference will be combined with a direct line. He said that the date of the event has already been determined, but will not disclose it yet.
In 2022, neither a direct line nor a press conference was held. Presidential elections are due to take place in the spring: they are scheduled for March 17, 2024. Shortly before the last presidential campaign, in 2017, a large press conference was also held on December 14.
The last direct line with Vladimir Putin took place on June 30, 2021, the last big press conference was on December 23, 2021.
