Direct flights from Russia to Phuket

Direct flights from Russia to Phuket

The last days of October brought some relief to those who want to fly to the ocean without going broke. And they threw a way out for parents who want to take their schoolchildren to warmer climes, but in such a way as not to spend half the holidays on complicated logistics. Since November, Russians can fly on “native wings” straight to Thailand and Goa, and at a similar (compared to others) price.

However, on this pleasant and budgetary path, tourists may face their own difficulties – counterparties (Russian-speaking employees of Russian travel agencies cooperating with Russian) warn about this.

The first “swallows” flew from Moscow to Thai airports on October 30. At the same time, regular direct flights were launched not only by the flagship of Russian air transportation, which from that date included routes to the capital of the Kingdom of Bangkok and the airport of the resort island of Phuket, but also by another major domestic tour operator that raised its charters.

The charter that delivered 449 Russian tourists to Phuket at the very end of October is not just a charter, but a symbol of a breakthrough: this is the first post-pandemic charter flight from Moscow to Phuket. At the same time, the regular air carrier safely brought another 364 tourists from the Russian Federation on its wings, saying that from now on it will fly in this direction twice a day, with the prospect of increasing traffic volumes.

Today, several Russian “regular” flights have already landed in Phuket, which are very enviable in terms of their parameters (compared to today’s realities): 9 hours on the road, about 60 thousand rubles per person one way (the price “walks” depending on the day of the week, but there is no higher than 62 thousand rubles in principle).

Similar “regular flights” are promised to be launched in Indian Goa the other day, and tour operators promise charters in November, not only from the capital, but also from the regions. After the tourist torments and obstacles that began with the pandemic and were exacerbated by geopolitical restrictions, one wants to fly away to where they are accepted as soon as possible.

But Russian-speaking managers, who are preparing to receive a mass Russian tourist on the ground, advise first to refresh the memory of the rules of life forgotten by many in Southeast Asia, as well as to find out the new requirements that have appeared during the pandemic.

– A Vietnamese was arrested in Suvarnabhumi (Bangkok airport – author) and sent to a cell for smuggling, – shares a Russian-speaking employee of a Thai travel agency cooperating with a Russian tour operator. Do you know what he smuggled? Pork sausages! True, immediately 9 kg, but this is enough for detention and imprisonment. And this is just the beginning.

Those who come to us for the winter save on everything, cook right in the rooms in multicookers – hoteliers complain. And for this they drag frozen meat products, canned food and sausages from home. But any meat products are prohibited for import into Thailand. And with violations of customs rules, we are strict: at best, a large fine, at worst – a prison, even for a foreigner. And, of course, the confiscation of prohibited goods.

Thais warn that special dogs are on duty at their airports, sniffing out contraband cargo. The host country advises better not to take any products with you and reminds you that you cannot bring any types of electronic cigarettes into Thailand, including smoking devices such as mini-hookah, you are allowed to carry only up to 200 pieces of regular cigarettes. The import of alcoholic beverages is also limited – no more than a liter per person. It is forbidden to take home seashells found on the beaches and any products made of ivory and crocodile skin from Tai.

– In addition, in November you have to be especially careful with swimming in the ocean, – says a Russian-speaking guide from Phuket. – Now we have the season of poisonous jellyfish, burns from them are very dangerous, even fatal. Pay attention to the warning signs on the beaches: every morning they inform about “jellyfish safety”. Do not touch jellyfish washed ashore with your hands and keep an eye on children. Do not swim at night, after rain and alone – a jellyfish sting can cause temporary limb paralysis in a bather. If you are allergic, no matter what, be sure to bring your usual antihistamines with you from home and take them to the beach. Jellyfish are especially dangerous for allergy sufferers.

As for Goa, the prices for tours from a company that promises charters start at 120 thousand rubles for two with a flight, and by the New Year a similar accommodation will jump to 211 thousand rubles for two. True, the Goans themselves warn that they have “run wild” because of the pandemic and now they can hardly imagine how they coped with the influx of “restless Russians”.
