TASS on Saturday, January 14, reports that the People’s Artist of the USSR Inna Churikova has died. Information about the death of the actress was confirmed to the agency by the director of the Lenkom Theater Mark Varshaver.
“It happened half an hour ago in the hospital,” Warsawer said.
The actress was 79 years old.
Last summer, a number of media outlets reported that Churikova was hospitalized complaining of pain from bruises and that she was diagnosed with fractured ribs. At the same time, it was alleged that during the examination, the patient also revealed some neoplasms of the brain, which could be the consequences of a fall. In October, Churikova herself reported that she had not yet recovered, but did not give details about her state of health.
The other day the director of “Lenkom” informedthat the artist still “has a little signs of SARS, but there’s nothing to worry about.” Warsawer also noted that she was “rushing into the theater” and could return to the stage as early as February.
