General Sergei Surovikin found another “good” position, instead of the commander-in-chief of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia. About it informed publication “Rise” State Duma deputy, retired Colonel-General Viktor Zavarzin.
“He fought well, well, the situation passed. I know that you, too, that you have found another position for him, changed, his chief of staff executes the commands of the commander-in-chief, he has a different position, it is not bad, in the CIS or whatever it is called correctly,” he said.
According to Zavarzin, “nothing terrible is happening there.” He admitted that Surovikin would be on vacation for some time.
At the end of August, RIA Novosti and RBC reported on the release of Surovikin from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia. The head of the General Staff of the Aerospace Forces, General Viktor Afzalov, was appointed interim, RIA Novosti claimed. According to the source RBCafter being removed from the post of commander-in-chief of the VKS, Surovikin also ceased to be the deputy commander of the special operation in Ukraine.
Earlier today, Surovikin’s biography disappeared from the website of the Ministry of Defense, and his name also disappeared from the list of commanders-in-chief of the branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Surovikin has not appeared in public since June 23. On September 4, journalist Ksenia Sobchak published a photograph on her Telegram channel, in which, according to her, Surovikin was captured with his wife. “General Sergei Surovikin left.
