“Don’t you think that most of the problems in the area of ​​charging fees for MSW lie in the abuse by regional operators of the right to commercial accounting based on established standards, including economically absurd charges per square meter, as in the Samara or Moscow regions? Isn’t it time to abandon the standards and count waste by weight through the weight control of garbage trucks at the landfill?” – asked Mikhail Matveev (KPRF).

Ms. Abramchenko admitted that she personally supports the transition to the calculation of the actual accumulation of MSW. “We specifically checked what is happening in some regions: garbage is being transported bypassing the built weight control sites, and you need to be fined for this, as well as for dumping garbage in an unspecified place,” she said.

“As for the calculation (standards for payment for the removal of MSW – “MK”) – from a square meter, from the area or the number of residents – today it is the right of the regions to decide which approach to choose,” she reminded.
