Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, ATO veteran Roman Kostenko named a possible route along which the Armed Forces of Ukraine will move during the expected counteroffensive.
Kostenko recalled that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny spoke about Mariupol, so the movement could be approximately in this direction.
“Melitopol, Berdyansk – this is the corridor along which we must move,” he added in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
According to Kostenko, the counter-offensive should begin during the spring campaign, but no one can say the exact timing and how it will develop with what capabilities.
At the same time, the deputy drew attention to the fact that it makes no sense to talk about the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while Russian troops are pushing back the Ukrainian forces in the eastern direction and have an advantage in numbers and equipment.
