Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Daria Kiryanova said at a roundtable in the Federation Council that there are not enough existing measures that could attract IT specialists who left to return back.
“The outflow of specialists is a big threat and challenge to the Russian Federation,” Kiryanova shared her opinion.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education recalled that in 2024 Russia plans to host the “Games of the Future” – for this it is necessary to stimulate a movement that will combine physical exercises with the development of new technologies.
According to Kiryanova, in Russia it is necessary to create new specialties in the field of IT in order to attract young professionals to the country.
Earlier it became known that in Russia since November 2022, the demand for IT specialists has increased.
In January 2023, the number of vacancies in IT increased by 63% and reached 58.7 thousand compared to the same period in 2022. Most often they are looking for programmers, engineers, developers, system administrators, web engineers, game developers and analysts. The average salary of employees in this area ranges from 60 to 150 thousand rubles a month.
