With unprecedented pressure on African countries, the United States is trying to disrupt the Russia-Africa summit. It will be held in July 2023 in St. Petersburg. Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, spoke about this in an interview with TASS.
He stressed that after the start of the NWO, the West significantly increased pressure on the states of the African continent. They are threatened with sanctions and the termination of financial assistance for ties with Russia. Bogdanov noted that the Americans on a daily basis put forward various accusations against our country – from rising prices for fuel, fertilizers and grain to reproaches for the “coming famine” and the aggravation of socio-economic problems in Africa.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister noted that Russia does not intend to deviate from the centuries-old traditions of Russian diplomacy and will uphold the principle of free choice of the path of development of independent countries.
Bogdanov confirmed that preparations for the event are ongoing. “We are receiving confirmation of participation … from the leaders of the states of the continent, and this is a signal for us of principled support from a significant part of the country, despite the enormous pressure from the West,” the diplomat summed up.
