Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan appointed Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Fatih Karahan as head of the regulator, reports “Anadolu”. Hafize Gaye Ercan left from the post of head of the Central Bank due to a campaign organized against her to undermine her reputation.

In the summer of 2023, he was appointed deputy chairman of the Turkish Central Bank.
Hafize Gaye Erkan headed the Turkish Central Bank in the summer of 2023 and became the first woman to hold this post.
