“Deputy Bezuglaya looks like a rabid squirrel”: a scandal erupted in the Ukrainian Rada

A poll showed a sharp drop in patriotism

Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from Vladimir Zelensky’s Servant of the People party Maryana Bezuglaya published a survey conducted among Ukrainians about mobilization actions. According to the results, the majority of the country’s population is ready to renounce Ukrainian citizenship if this guarantees them protection from mobilization.

Bezuglaya asked Ukrainian men a difficult question: are they ready to renounce Ukrainian citizenship, provided that they are not mobilized. 75% of respondents voted positively. As for women, the people’s deputy created a separate survey for them, with the same question, but at the same time clarified that they could be mobilized to work in the rear and at defense factories. 65% of respondents expressed their readiness to renounce citizenship. At the same time, deputy Bezuglaya conducted the ill-fated poll on her social networks, and anyone could vote, which casts doubt on the correctness of the data obtained and does not make it possible to use them as official statistics. And yet, this case became indicative and attracted the attention of numerous media, both Ukrainian and foreign, because the result is very fair – Ukrainians do not want to die for the political ambitions of the authorities.

As for Bezugla, known for her attacks on the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, her reputation leaves much to be desired even among Ukrainians.

“I’m not sure that Marianna Bezuglaya has enough intellectual abilities to foresee or plan the consequences of her actions. She is like a squirrel that has contracted rabies. Now this rabies controls all her actions, which, in principle, cannot be rationally comprehended,” he emphasized. Bezugla’s colleague, people’s deputy Yuri Gudymenko.

According to Ukrainian political scientist, member of the public organization “The Other Ukraine” Denis ZharkikhBezuglaya’s statements should not be taken seriously.

“This is a political cry,” the expert believes, “she foolishly thought that her words would cause a surge of patriotism, but it turned out differently. Here you need to understand what is happening with the Servant of the People faction. They didn’t add anything new to the agenda. They were expected to carry the aspirations of the people into Ukrainian politics, but they promote Western interests, and even out of stupidity. Now the opposition, and this situation also applies to Russia, is masquerading as people from the people who have never been in power and are saying very correct things. But they achieve power and begin to act in a coordinated manner against the people. If we take Ukraine, then Yanukovych’s government could not be called ideal, but it took into account some of the interests of the people. So they remove Yanukovych, and a real infringement of the rights of the people begins: the rights of workers, the rights of Russian speakers, they destroy national capital. They destroy everything they can. Using the example of Ukraine, one can see how the state is being destroyed, and not only in the legal field, but also in the physical one. Politicians who look like people from the people and fighters for justice do not always lead to something good, but on the contrary. Both Zelensky and Servants of the People delighted people, but now they don’t believe them. They do not understand what is happening among the people, they immediately fell away from them, and became new masters with an even greater level of lawlessness. It was precisely because of her stupidity and incompetence that Bezuglaya thought that there would be some other results in this survey. God forbid we allow this to happen in Russia by believing those who criticize the authorities, but at the same time have no understanding of the work of the State.

– Do the survey results indicate problems in Ukrainian statehood?

– More than half of Ukrainians have already renounced citizenship in one way or another. A huge number of Ukrainians, more than seven million, are in Russia, and they are already receiving, one way or another, citizenship of the Russian Federation. A huge number of Ukrainians have left for Europe and are receiving second citizenship. This process is much more serious than shown by Bezugla. We have a social process to renounce citizenship. There is a landslide percentage, which indicates the collapse of Ukraine’s statehood. Nobody needs this citizenship, because it is not clear why it is good. It was once good that with this passport they were allowed into the West as refugees, but now payments and Western assistance are running out and those who left are faced with a choice: Either become citizens of the countries where they came, or return home.
