Their relatives will be added to the waiting list
The deputies of Kabardino-Balkaria proposed a new measure of support for the families of fighters who died during a special military operation. In accordance with the bill submitted by the parliament of the republic to the State Duma, the right to housing, which is provided to orphans and children left without parental care, will be transferred to their spouses or minor descendants.
As it became known to MK, the deputies believe that their bill should apply to all legal relations that have arisen since February 24, 2022 – the date of the start of a special military operation in the territories of Ukraine, the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
Recall that the law establishes the obligation of the state to provide housing to orphans and children left without parental care, to persons from among them upon reaching the age of 18 or even before reaching the age of majority if they acquire full legal capacity. The law also provides for reasons for exclusion from the lists of those entitled to housing, one of them is the death of an orphan. It is this provision that the parliamentarians propose to supplement. The draft law proposes to establish that in the event of death while performing tasks during the SVO, instead of the deceased, their relatives will be added to the waiting list.
The deputies emphasize that children who have experienced the full burden of orphanage, going to carry out the combat missions set by the Motherland, must be sure that in the event of their death, the housing promised to them by the state will go to their orphaned children or spouses.
