Deputies of the “United Russia” prepared to talk about the rebellion “Wagner”

State Duma deputies from the United Russia faction received recommendations on how to tell voters about the military mutiny of Wagner PMC during the regional week from July 3 to July 9. Vedomosti got acquainted with the document, its authenticity was confirmed by two sources close to the State Duma.

United Russia is advised, in particular, to support the military, the president’s decisions, to provide comprehensive assistance to the families of the soldiers of the special military operation in solving their problems, protecting their rights, the recommendations say.

One of the “basic” theses concerns the explanation to the voters of the rebellion of PMC “Wagner” on June 23-24 and its suppression. Vladimir Putin is the undisputed leader of the country, who enjoys the support of the Russian population, the document says. Deputies are advised to report, if necessary, that “the decisions of the leader always lead to victories,” and in the case of Wagner, “it was possible to win without bloodshed.”

In the current “at the front” situation, any actions that destabilize the situation in the country are “a knife in the back of the army,” Vladimir Putin’s thesis is repeated in the recommendations. And people who put “momentary grievances” above the interests of the Motherland do not have the moral right to call themselves patriots, it says there.

“Russians show their unity with the president, with the Russian army. It was this kind of consolidation of society, the army and the leadership of the country that played a decisive role in suppressing the rebellion,” the deputies were asked to convey this thesis to voters.

The recommendations also contain other topics. United Russia proposed, in particular, to organize a “party landing” to assess the implementation of programs for the employment of minors in the summer.

Deputies can hold meetings with employers and underage workers on the territory of organizations and enterprises that participate in the programs. They can also visit employment centers implementing the “long-term program to promote youth employment until 2030”, or hold thematic round tables on their basis.

“The party’s initiatives for the employment of underage citizens during the summer period are a response to the requests of parents, employers and, first of all, the children themselves, who are ready to spend summer time with benefit. Many already at school age, after career guidance, determine the vector of their career development, others decide to earn pocket money without the help of their parents, ”the document says.

At the end of November 2022, a group of United Russia authors contributed for consideration by Parliament of amendments simplifying the employment of adolescents from the age of 14 “to perform light work that is not harmful to his health.” The rationale for such an initiative was, among other things, the results of a survey by VTsIOM, according to which “91% of high school students would like to earn extra money during the summer holidays.” The law went into effect in mid-June.

The deputies were also invited to take part in regional party events related to the celebration of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.

United Russia traditionally holds actions and events on this day that reflect the values ​​of the traditional family, and after the adoption of amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation, according to which marriage is considered the union of a man and a woman, this holiday has acquired a special meaning,” follows from the text of the recommendations.

Members of the Duma United Russia are advised to congratulate married couples on the streets, hand out “bouquets of daisies, postcards and symbolic gifts” from the party to families who have been married for more than 50 years at public support headquarters (SHOP), and also visit the families of participants in the special operation at home.

The Day of Family, Love and Fidelity is celebrated in Russia on July 8, starting from 2008. In June 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing it as an official holiday.

State Duma deputy from the Rostov region Viktor Deryabkin (United Russia) told Vedomosti that he is still in Moscow, and his plans for the regional week have not yet been finalized. He noted that he is always “ready for such questions. [о мятеже]”. “I do not go away from these topics, this is life,” Deryabkin said. The deputy spent the previous regional week in the Ust-Donetsk region, where he met with the widows of those killed during the special operation.

State Duma deputy Artem Metelev (United Russia), who also represents Moscow in the lower house, confirmed in a conversation with Vedomosti that he was ready to discuss an attempted military mutiny with voters: “Of course, yes. I have meetings scheduled, including with the youth.” He stressed that he would be able to inform voters about the reaction of the Moscow authorities. The actions of the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in organizing the defense of the city (the CTO regime was introduced in the capital) were “professional and prompt,” he added.
