According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, the offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is difficult because of the fortifications built by the Russian military.

On the air of the telethon, he stressed that they do not have rigid schedules and deadlines. Danilov expressed his dissatisfaction with those who claim that there are precise plans and timing for the counteroffensive.

“No one can set deadlines for us, except ourselves. Those who talk about this do not understand what war is … It so happened that the situation regarding the events that are taking place at the front was overheated,” he explained.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council emphasized that he himself prefers not to use the term “counteroffensive”, preferring to describe the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as military operations that depend on many factors and circumstances. He also mentioned the introduction of the NATO system, when the commander himself decides how to act in a given situation.
