“A heavy missile that can penetrate several meters of reinforced concrete”

On the night of March 21, the Russian military launched a massive Kinzhal missile attack on the decision-making centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. Also, high-precision weapons hit the temporary deployment points of Ukrainian special operations military forces, foreign mercenaries and the logistics base of Kyiv. Why exactly now, after a 44-day break, it flew across the capital of Ukraine, military expert, first-rank reserve captain Vasily Dandykin told MK.

“The massive missile attack this night is connected with the events that took place in the border areas both on the eve of the Russian presidential elections and later,” says Vasily Dandykin. “There were whole battles going on there; even during the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, our artillery, aviation and tanks were fighting against them. About 800 Ukrainian military personnel were killed. Shelling of the Belgorod region continues. We are forced to evacuate the population from there.

All this, as the expert says, required an answer.

“But I think, besides, these attacks were carefully prepared.” The air-launched hypersonic missile of the Kinzhal complex is a very serious weapon, one-piece, expensive, and is used only for particularly important purposes. Everything is verified, agreed upon, confirmed. Both aerial and space reconnaissance and local agents work.

The attack on the night of March 21, as the captain of the first rank of the reserve says, was echeloned, in three streams.

“We needed to deceive the enemy.” NATO is using the entire range of reconnaissance assets, which are on duty at the Russian borders almost around the clock. First, our Tu-95MS “strategists” took off into the air, carrying Onyx supersonic cruise missiles and strategic cruise missiles using X-101 radar signature reduction technologies. The missiles did not immediately take the route to Kyiv. First they flew towards Western Ukraine, and then turned around and headed towards Kyiv.

While cruise missiles were opening up Ukrainian air defense positions, MiG-31Ks with Daggers on board took off.

— I think that mostly they were Onyxes and X-101s, which are quite difficult to shoot down. And “for dessert” the “Daggers” arrived. Most likely there was a detachment of Mig-31Ks, three or four aircraft, each of which carried one missile. This is a very heavy missile that can penetrate several meters of reinforced concrete. As I understand it, they were hitting decision-making centers—buried bunkers, headquarters with foreign “instructors” and “vacationers.” I think they also opened air defense systems, especially the Patriot air defense system.

Vasily Dandykin says that he wants to believe that they also hit the 72nd center of information and psychological operations of the MTR of Ukraine in Brovary.

“Our side had already launched a missile strike against it earlier, but this center continued to engage in fakes. Of course, no one in Ukraine will say which decision-making goals were defeated. Kyiv will never admit this. (A number of sources report that the targets of the attacks were the facilities of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine. – Auth.)

Only the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, said that two enterprises in the Podolsk district of the city were damaged as a result of the explosions. According to one version, the Farmak plant, which supplies the Ukrainian armed forces with medicines and military medical equipment, was raided.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that all targets were hit and the targets of the strikes were achieved.

— I think that Kyiv used up a decent amount of air defense missiles on the night of March 21. Although the Daggers, in principle, do not shoot down, no one can hit them, not even Patriot. The American Patriot air defense system can catch missiles that reach speeds of up to Mach 5 (Mach 1 is conventionally equal to the speed of sound, that is, 340 m/S or 1224 km/h). And the “Dagger” has a maximum speed when flying to a target – Mach 10-12. So, everything has arrived. I think there are new blows ahead.
