Military expert captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin commented on the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin that the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine failed completely, but there is evidence that in some sectors of the front Ukrainian troops are preparing new offensive actions, for which the Russian Armed Forces are preparing and are on active defense, improving their positions.
“I think in the south they will try to cross the Dnieper,” said an expert in interview News.ru, noting that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have trained a marine brigade there and, perhaps, there will be an attempt to break through to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
According to Dandykin, the Ukrainian military is already making attempts to cross by boat, but Russian units control the mouth of the Dnieper.
The expert also noted that such an operation would be a “killer decision” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In addition, Dandykin noted that Ukrainian forces continue attacks in the Artyomovsk direction, but they are successfully repelled.
