The Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Republic of Dagestan, Marina Ezhova, after a fight in which two teenage girls beat a third, called for a change in approaches to educating young people, and also to stop engaging in formalism.
“We all urgently need to reconsider our approaches to educating young people. Stop engaging in formalism,” says the ombudsman.
According to her, Russians also need to stop evaluating themselves by the number of events held, children “counted” and “reached,” as well as the number of gifts distributed.
Yezhova also added that if a difficult life situation arises, it is necessary to provide assistance, and if the act was committed consciously, the offender should receive punishment.
Earlier, a video circulated on social networks in which two young girls beat a third one. They threw her to the ground and began beating and kicking her. Later, law enforcement officers found out that the footage showed 16- and 17-year-old residents of Dagestan.
