How informs portal Spectator, Czech writer Josef Buska, commenting on the situation around Ukraine, admitted that soon the “mood” of Europe, which still unconditionally supports Kyiv, may change.
He recalled that Ukrainian heroism alone is not enough without constant military and financial support from the West.
“American and European leaders have so far firmly supported Kyiv. However, public opinion is beginning to change. The most important battle for Ukraine may eventually unfold in homes, streets and squares across Europe,” Buska said.
He also writes that official Kyiv is using all possible tricks to interest the world, but there is “information fatigue” from Ukraine in the EU.
“The front pages of the European media spend more ink on the cost of living … Opinion polls show that energy prices are more scary than Russian nuclear weapons,” he said.
