Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala visited the Excalibur Army plant in Sternberk (the former Czech armored repair plant VOP 26), where he inspected the first repaired and modernized T-72 tanks prepared for shipment to Ukraine.
The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic even left an inscription on one of the tanks. “I wrote a short message to the brave Ukrainian defenders on the T-72 tank, which will soon go to Ukraine,” Petr Fiala said, expressing confidence that Kyiv would win in the confrontation with Moscow.
As the Telegram channel of the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies (AST Center) clarifies, these tanks are being prepared for transfer to Ukraine as part of the joint initiative of the United States and the Netherlands announced on November 4 to finance the repair and modernization of 90 T-72 tanks for Ukraine. The origin of the tanks transferred under this initiative is not officially disclosed, but, apparently, these are former T-72B tanks acquired by Morocco.
