CSTO website subjected to DDoS attack – Vedomosti

The official website of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was subjected to a DDOS attack and an attempted hacking the night before, informed organization in their Telegram channel.

“On September 13, at about 23.00, the official website of the CSTO was subjected to a DDOS attack. The performance of the resource was disrupted, unauthorized attempts to make changes to some informational messages were recorded, access was impossible until 07:00 on September 14, 2022,” they said.

Now the site has been partially restored, work is underway to localize unauthorized interference and restore damaged or lost data, the CSTO noted.

The night before, on the initiative of Yerevan took place an emergency meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council (Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) due to the aggravation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, during which it was decided to send an organization mission to Armenia to assess the situation, led by Secretary General Stanislav Zas. In addition, the parties decided to create a working group to constantly monitor the situation in the CSTO area of ​​responsibility.

On the night of September 13, according to the Armenian ministry, Azerbaijani troops fired on the border settlements in the south-east of the country – Sotk, Goris and Jermuk. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced 49 dead as a result of shelling. He clarified that this figure is not final.

At the same time, the Azerbaijani side blamed Armenia for the escalation of the situation. Later, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic reported the death of 50 Azerbaijani servicemen during the fighting on the border with Armenia.

After the night shelling, the Armenian government turned to Russia, the CSTO and the UN Security Council. In addition, Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu. As a result, Baku and Yerevan, through the mediation of Moscow, were able to agree on a ceasefire from 09:00 Moscow time, but today the parties again accused each other of shelling. Yerevan informed on the use of artillery and mortars by Azerbaijan, in Baku declaredthat the shelling was started by the Armenian forces.
