Crimean authorities have clarified the amount of damage to the budget from the energy blockade of the peninsula

A working group of the Crimean parliament has prepared documents on the damage to the budget caused by Ukraine due to the energy blockade of the peninsula. The statement of claim provides an amount of more than 3 trillion rubles.

“3 trillion 156 billion 605 million rubles. — preliminary calculations show the damage caused to the entire budget system. The working group submits these documents to a representative of the legal department of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea for the preparation of a statement of claim,” Sergei Trofimov, co-chairman of the working group, head of the legislation committee of the Crimean parliament, told RIA Novosti.

He added that the Public Chamber of Crimea is also preparing claims from individuals who suffered damage. The amount of these claims, according to preliminary estimates, will be about 2 trillion rubles, said the head of parliament Vladimir Konstantinov.

In September 2023 in the State Council of Crimea statedthat the damage from the transport blockade of the peninsula amounted to more than 1.1 billion rubles, financial – 38 billion rubles. In October, the amount of the claim for the water blockade increased up to 152.6 billion rubles. It was alleged that at least 37 enterprises want to submit water blockade lawsuits. In the same month, the Arbitration Court of Crimea upheld the claim of the State Council for damage caused to the republic as a result of the water blockade. The authority decided to recover 152.6 billion rubles from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.
