“Country”: Ukrainian military blew up a dam near Kyiv and regretted it
[ad_1]
The Ukrainian army blew up a dam on the Irpin River in the Kyiv region to facilitate the task of defending the region. But this led to negative consequences for the local population, writes Vlad Bovtruk, a columnist for the Ukrainian edition of Strana.
As the author notes, in the village of Demidov, crops were lost due to the explosion of the dam. The cellars of private houses were flooded. This led to the spread of fungus and mold in houses, walls began to crack and foundations burst.
With the onset of cold weather, the situation will become even more difficult. Freezing water in the basements of houses will cause serious damage to the foundations, especially considering that in almost all houses the basements have filled with water. The villagers complain about the inaction of the authorities.
