Counting of votes in elections has started in Russia

Polling stations closed in the Kamchatka Territory and on Sakhalin, and the counting of votes began in the regions. The polling stations opened at 8:00 am and closed at 8:00 pm (11:00 and 12:00 Moscow time, respectively).
There were no emergency situations in the elections of a new composition of the city duma of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, reports TASS with reference to the regional election committee. Voter turnout at 18:00 (09:00 Moscow time) in the elections of deputies of the city duma of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city district of the seventh convocation exceeded 13%.
On Sakhalin, the elections of deputies to the Sakhalin Regional Duma of the eighth convocation were held for three days – on September 9, 10 and 11. Almost 2.9 thousand people voted early in the Far East.
From September 9 to 11, voting takes place in Russia at elections of various levels in 82 regions of the country. Direct elections of governors are held in 14 regions. Another six regions elect deputies of regional parliaments. Municipal deputies are elected in Moscow.
