The gas pipeline will transport LNG over a distance of 26 km. Initially, it will supply about 7.5 billion cubic meters. m of gas per year. According to German media, the construction of terminals usually takes six to eight years, but in this case, the time frame was reduced thanks to a special law that allowed the construction of pipelines before the planning approval process was completed.
The construction of terminals for receiving LNG, in turn, will help reduce Germany’s dependence on Russian gas, the supply of which has been significantly reduced. Now only 20% of the total capacity of the pipeline comes to the European Union via Nord Stream, that is, no more than 33 million cubic meters. m per day instead of the planned 167 million cubic meters. m. In Gazprom, the reason for this is problems with the company’s equipment Siemens.
