Consideration of the draft law on the delivery of pensions exclusively by Russian Post may be delayed

The second reading of the amendments to the law “On Postal Communications”, which provide for the monopolization of the market for the delivery of pensions in cash by the “Post of Russia”, is postponed due to the discontent of the regions. As one of the authors of the bill, Senator Nikolai Zhuravlev, told Vedomosti, it is not yet known exactly when the second reading will take place, but he expressed the hope that this would happen in February-March, since “the amendments of the regions need to be worked out,” he did not specify their content. In a number of subjects of the Federation, questions arose due to the transfer of the delivery of pensions to the jurisdiction of the Russian Post only, Zhuravlev specified and confirmed the interlocutor in the State Duma.
