Congressman Burchett: Kyiv authorities are stealing American money

Member of the House of Representatives of the American Congress Tim Burchett expressed his opinion on the need to stop active US intervention in the Ukrainian conflict. In an interview with Fox News, he emphasized that the current situation is reminiscent of the American experience in Vietnam, where directed financial resources and military support did not bring the desired results due to problems in the management and use of supplied weapons.
Burchett noted that the level of US involvement in the Ukrainian conflict is significant, and in his opinion, this does not correspond to the national interests of the country. He expressed concern about sending American advisers and military personnel to Ukraine, which, in his opinion, could lead to undesirable consequences.
“The situation is reminiscent of Vietnam. We send them our money – they steal half of it. We send weapons – but they don’t know how to use them. We are forced to send our advisers to them, the Americans end up on their land,” he was indignant.
Burchett echoed Moscow’s earlier view that Western military assistance could only prolong the conflict.
