Congress demanded from Biden a “road map of the future” of Ukraine

Continued funding to support Ukraine is only possible if the White House provides a clear “road map for the future” of Ukraine. Such a statement on Wednesday, August 30, was made by a member of the House of Representatives from the Republican Party, Mark Alford.
The congressman told The Hill that American lawmakers “need to understand the desired outcomes, including whether the recovery of lost territories, such as Crimea, is possible and appropriate.”
Allocation of new funding to Ukraine is “a matter of strategic clarity, responsibility and accountability to the American taxpayers,” who are growing tired of supporting the Kyiv regime and showing increasing skepticism, Alford said.
Earlier, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky said that the United States is facing a very difficult year – the year of presidential elections, so it is possible that this will affect Washington’s support for Kyiv.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s public debt increased by another $4 billion in July, having exceeded in total 132 billion dollars. The indicator reached UAH 4,860.59 billion.
