In the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor, the conflict continues between the “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) and tribal militias. Over the weekend, the intensity of the clashes decreased markedly. SDS soldiers at night could to squeeze out the rebels from the city of Esh-Shhil and tried to take Ziban, but the tribes defeated the reinforcements of the Arab-Kurdish forces.
The main fighting unfolded near Manbij in the province of Aleppo, in the vicinity of Tel Tamra in the province of Al-Hasakah and near the city of Ain Issa in the province of Raqqa. There, pro-Turkish groups, which attack the SDF-controlled settlements, provide all possible assistance to the rebels in the province of Deir ez-Zor.
The Arab-Kurdish forces say that the group’s fighters have so far managed to repulse the attacks of Ankara’s mercenaries. For example, according to the SDF, during clashes near Manbij, the security forces managed to neutralize three Hayat Tahrir Ash-Sham militants (banned in the Russian Federation) who arrived from the province of Idlib.
The US-led international coalition is calling on the tribal militias to end the fighting and come to the negotiating table without preconditions. The tribal leaders have so far refused. Moreover, information appeared on the network that the rebels united under a common command and flag to continue the fight against the SDF in the region.
