Companies in Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine exempted from double taxation

Companies from the LPR and DPR, as well as from Russian-controlled Ukrainian regions, were exempted from double taxation. This was reported to RIA Novosti by an unnamed representative of the leadership of the tax service of the Zaporozhye region. He also argues that the new taxation system will be more attractive than it was in Ukraine.

By whom and when this decision was adopted, he did not specify. According to him, the document “allows to exclude excessive payment of taxes in the provision of services, performance of work and trade in goods by business entities from other liberated regions, from the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics, as well as companies from Russia.”

It is planned to reduce the turnover tax on VAT amounts presented by Russian fuel suppliers. Thanks to this, the prices of gasoline and diesel at gas stations were reduced, the pro-Russian authorities of Zaporizhzhia claim.

Also, a representative of the tax service said that in Zaporozhye, a new simplified taxation system assumes a general rate of 5% of turnover and 10% for excisable products. Also, income, property of individuals and transactions with essential goods are not taxed.

The Russian military has been controlling the territories of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine since spring. The pro-Russian authorities in both regions intend to hold a referendum on joining Russia tentatively in September.
