Committee of the Federation Council supported the law on the publication of declarations of parliamentarians without personal data

The Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure and Regional Policy has supported a law that will allow parliamentarians to publish annual declarations of their income and property in a generalized form. On February 2, senators will consider the law at a plenary session, previously it was adopted State Duma in the third reading.

The document assumes that Russian parliamentarians of all levels will be able to provide only generalized statistical information about their incomes. The deputies who exercise their powers on a non-permanent basis will be completely exempted from the annual declaration of income.

In the State Duma, the need to adopt such a law was explained by the “protection of personal data” of parliamentarians. According to MP Pavel Krasheninnikov, we are talking about reducing control over parliamentarians does not go.
