Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian troops Valeriy Zaluzhny wrote on his Telegram channel that he received an approving assessment and assurances of further support from the commander of the NATO allied forces in Europe, American General Christopher Cavoli.
According to Zaluzhny, he talked to Cavoli on the phone.
As noted in the message of the Ukrainian commander-in-chief, during this conversation, an exchange of views took place on the operational situation, future plans and the needs of the Ukrainian army for weapons.
Recall that earlier Russia sent a note to NATO countries because of the supply of weapons to Kyiv. The Russian Foreign Ministry warned that the countries of the alliance, supplying weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were “playing with fire.” The Kremlin also noted that pumping Ukraine with Western weapons would have a negative effect and would not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
