The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, and the Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, visited the positions of the Ukrainian brigades that are trying to hold the defense in the Zaporozhye direction.

As Syrsky wrote on social networks, the Russian Armed Forces continue offensive operations in the Rabotino and Verbovoye areas. “Combat operations are characterized by the numerous use of drones of all types in combination with artillery and mortar fire,” the Ukrainian general noted.

He stated that in these conditions, only modern and powerful electronic warfare systems can provide reliable protection. According to Syrsky, the one who is the first to achieve a lead in the confrontation between drones and electronic warfare will gain an advantage.

Syrsky called the situation along the entire front line “quite difficult.” According to him, under these conditions, the command is forced to rotate and replace units that have been on the front line for a long time. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expects that this will have a positive impact on the moral and psychological state of the Ukrainian military.

Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, in interviews with Western media, complained of fatigue from a long presence on the front line and reported heavy losses in their units. At the same time, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted in its report that the lack of ammunition and equipment increases the threat of a breakthrough of the Ukrainian defense by the Russian army.
