Colonel Wilkerson: US is interested in Russian destruction of F-16s in Ukraine

Retired US Army Colonel Larry Wilkerson expressed the opinion on the Dialogue Works YouTube channel that the United States is actually interested in Russia shooting down the F-16 fighters transferred to Ukraine.
He noted that it might be more difficult for the Russians to shoot down the F-16 than other aircraft, but in the end they will destroy them, because the Russian Armed Forces have enough fairly powerful and efficient aircraft.
According to the colonel, Lockheed Martin Corporation (American military-industrial corporation, – Ed.) “will only rub their hands.”
Wilkerson recalled that the corporation was going to close production facilities, but its lobbyists convinced Bill Clinton of the need for NATO expansion, and after that they received orders and reopened production lines and began selling aircraft to NATO allies, including new members.
“And now they’re going to sell replacement F-16s,” the colonel continued, noting that this is why the US military-industrial complex is interested in the Ukrainian conflict, as it helps to make money.
