The YPR-765 was developed on the basis of the American M113 armored personnel carrier, and the first batch of these vehicles was ordered by the Netherlands in 1975. The mass of the BMP is 13.7 tons, it is equipped with aluminum armor and a Detroit Diesel Allison 6V-53T engine with a capacity of 267 horsepower.
