Coca Cola HBC announced on the acquisition of the Finnish division of Brown-Forman, which owns the Finlandia vodka brand, for $ 220 million. The release of Finlandia began in 1970. It produces 2.7 million nine-litre cases annually worldwide and is the leading vodka brand in Central and Eastern Europe.
Coca-Cola HBC has been one of Finlandia’s distributors for over 17 years and has now decided to buy out the vodka maker from American Brown-Forman, which will focus on whiskey production. Brown-Forman’s portfolio of brands includes Jack Daniel`s, Woodford Reserve, Old Forester whiskey, Pepe Lopez tequila, el Jimador and other alcoholic beverages. In March 2022, the company announced the suspension of deliveries to Russia. Coca-Cola HBC also announced the termination of deliveries to the Russian Federation in June last year. Its Russian division was renamed Multon Partners, which produces drinks of such brands as Dobry, Moya Semya, Rich and Burn.
