CNN: Washington predicts the end of the third phase of the IDF operation by January

TV channel CNN, citing American officials, reported that the United States expects the current phase of Israel’s ground operation in the Gaza Strip to last until January. After this, the IDF will move on to a strategy of targeted strikes against Hamas militants.
As the TV channel clarifies, the current stage of the Israeli military’s ground invasion of Gaza is aimed at the southern part of the enclave. Most likely, this phase will last several weeks, until January.
“The IDF will then move to a less intensive and extremely limited strategy that will target fighters and leaders of the Palestinian Hamas movement,” the channel said in a statement.
One of the main goals of the Israeli authorities is to weaken the Hamas movement. The IDF wants to take all necessary actions to ensure that Hamas will never be able to launch an attack similar to October 7.
