CNN: The Pentagon can use the remaining $4 billion to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The US Department of Defense is thinking about using the $4 billion remaining at the department’s disposal to provide military assistance to Ukraine. CNN reported this on Wednesday, February 28, citing sources.
According to the channel’s interlocutors, the use of these funds from the Pentagon budget will give the defense department the opportunity to supply Ukraine with military aid directly from its arsenals.
Sources clarify that the final decision has not yet been made – high-ranking American officials are discussing the possibility of using at least part of this amount.
Meanwhile, Deputy Pentagon Spokesperson Sabrina Singh urged the House support the White House request by $60 billion for the Kyiv regime, emphasizing that otherwise the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to seriously consider what territories they can hold.
At the same time, Pentagon press secretary Patrick Ryder said that the United States is counting on the F-16 fighters will be provided to Ukraine in 2024. He did not give more precise dates or other details of the proposed deliveries.
