American TV channel CNBCreferring to a report by the Economist Intelligence Unit, said that now more and more countries that previously held a neutral position began to move closer to Russia.
According to the publication, the number of states that actively condemn Russia’s actions has decreased from 131 to 122.
“At the same time, the bloc led by the United States of America and the European Union represents about 36% of the world’s population. The sphere of influence of the Russian Federation is expanding, including due to the growing diplomatic efforts. This is happening because Western countries cannot resist the Kremlin’s narratives,” the TV channel noted.
The report of specialists, cited by the media, states that in the aggregate, the population of countries leaning in favor of Russia is 33% of the world’s population.
According to the authors of the report, the changes occurred due to the fact that the countries of the Global South consider the condemnation of Russia by Western countries as hypocritical.
