The OSAGO base rate corridor will be expanded by 26 percent in both directions from September 13 for most categories of car owners. About it informed The Central Bank, whose instruction was registered by the Ministry of Justice.
So, for cars, the basic rate of the OSAGO tariff will vary for each driver in the range of 1646–7535 rubles. For public transport, the tariff corridor in both directions will be expanded by 17.8 percent in both directions.
“Also, based on the latest data, the calculation of territorial coefficients was refined,” the Central Bank said.
The regulator explained the decision to expand the base corridor by saying that insurance companies will be able to take into account the individual risks of drivers in the face of rising prices for spare parts.
“The rise in prices for spare parts will be reflected to a greater extent on the cost of policies for policyholders with high risks,” the Central Bank noted.
Earlier, the Central Bank reported that from September 9, when calculating the cost of car repairs, they will begin to take into account the cost of analogues of spare parts.
