Daily Star: Chinese security officers warned citizens about seductive spy beauties
The Chinese government has warned citizens of traps set on the Chinese social network WeChat by “exotic beauties” and foreign spies. This information is published by the British Daily Star.
According to the publication, China’s Ministry of National Security posted a warning post on WeChat entitled “Beauty Hunt? You can become prey! It tells the cautionary tale of a man named Li Si, who is lured by exotic landscapes, flashing neon and alcohol on a trip to an unnamed country. The story ends with Li Si, under threat of blackmail, revealing confidential information to foreign spies, for which he is subsequently arrested.
The British tabloid said the warning came as China announced it was tightening measures to combat threats to national security and began increasingly reminding citizens about the potential for espionage both abroad and at home.
In addition, the Daily Star writes, Beijing is encouraging residents of the country to join the fight against the intelligence services of foreign countries. They are asked to report any suspicious activity. This is happening against the background of increasing general tension in the world, threatening to develop into the Third World War.
