Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng said that by destroying the Chinese balloon, the United States damaged the process of stabilizing relations between the two states.
“The actions of the United States had a serious impact and harmed the efforts of the parties,” said the deputy minister, quoted by Central Television. The process of stabilizing Chinese-American relations began, according to the diplomat, after the meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Bali last November.
In this regard, the PRC strongly protests and calls on the United States not to take further actions that harm the interests of Beijing. In addition, the Chinese Foreign Ministry called on the American side not to escalate additional tension.
